Daily Schedule
Each day has a specific focus
Monday: Fundamentals
Tuesday: Positional
Wednesday: Transitions
Thursday: Competition
9:00 Dynamic stretch and warm up
9:15 Skill and station work
10:00 Skills reinforcement
10:15 Daily Competition practice: Longest throw, hardest shot, partner pass, trick shot, accuracy.
11:00 Team Skills
12:00 Dismissal
Awards given: Player of the day, Sportsmanship award, Teamwork award, Hustle award, Coaches award, Daily improvement award. The final day of each session is highlighted by individual and team competitions. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories!
Required Equipment:
Full Day Boys: Full equipment
(helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, mouth guard, cleats, boys lacrosse stick)
Full Day Girls: Full equipment
(goggles, mouth guard, girls lacrosse stick, cleats–goalies need full equipment)
Kindergarten and 1st grade: Full equipment is optional for new players. If you have full equipment, you are welcome to
to wear it.
All Players should bring water bottle, a healthy snack, sunscreen, and a positive attitude!
Program Features
STEPS Lacrosse Programs are designed to teach the great game of lacrosse to all level of players from beginners to the elite level player.
- Each coach is dedicated to passing on their knowledge of the game in a positive and value-oriented environment.
- Each day has a very specific agenda. The 4 day camp is a progression of skills and techniques that will build each player’s individual abilities and team concepts.
STEPS Lacrosse is entering its 25th year as the best teaching and competition program in NJ!

Coaching staff is comprised of high school head coaches, professional players, collegiate players from some of the best programs in the country including Division I and III National Champions, All-Americans and All-State Players. The highly structured learning environment features a low camper to counselor ratio. Both of our girls have been attending the STEPS summer camp for years. It’s a great week of learning and fun for them and a way to develop additional skills in the off season. They absolutely love the end of week contests! It’s always a fun way to wrap up camp. Our younger daughter Mackenzie was very excited to win the egg toss and happily bragged to her big sister. We are grateful for such a fun summer camp where our girls can both advance their skills and spend time with their teammates. Can’t wait for next year!
